A Very Meaningful & Influential Song...

That is my secondary school song. I still can remember the lyrics clearly after leaving school for 10 years. Happy Secondary School Leaving 10th Anniversary!!!

Verse 1

There's a joyful spirit that we share
In our home at Yishun Secondary School
You guide us onward with your love and care
You light our way with each golden rule

Chorus:

All that we can do, we'll do for you
Let's be the best that we can be at work and at play
And we'll always be proud of you dear Yishun Secondary School.

Verse 2

Your Motto builds a strength of will
Your precious teaching we will always keep
With determination and in earnest zeal
The fruits of our labour we will reap

Encounters

Met 2 encounters today which both leave me dunno whether to laugh or cry.

1st Encounter

My uncle was so nice today. He bought fish & chips for me. But the funny thing is...... he took a spoon & knife for me. I don't know whether he is aware...... and I didn't want to embarass him, so I was using the spoon & knife all the way until I finished the plate. Hmm.

2nd Encounter

At the Popular bookstore, a 5 year old boy was reading aloud:"D.I.Y". "DIE"! Wahahaa!!!!! So funny. I burst into laughter immediately. So long nobody entertain me like this.

Let's do your part everyday...

I had wanted to do some charity & was thinking of ways to help & within my means. I will donate some $$ when I can, but I do not have much $$ currently. So I thought of http://www.freerice.com/.

Well, you guys might have came across this website few years ago & have forgotten about it. So, heh heh heh!!! Now I am reminding you guys again about this webbie. If you do not like English Vocab or find that English is boring, you can actually change the subject! Just click Subjects on the header navigation & you can choose Art, Chemistry, Geography, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Maths. Wow!!! See? So many choices!!!

Guess how many grains of rice I have donated today??? Answer in the picture below:

.

.

I am setting the following guideline minimum amount of rice to be donated according to age group.
  • If you are 7 to 12 years old, pls donate at least 500 grains each day.
  • If you are 13 to 16 years old, pls donate at least 1000 grains each day.
  • If you are 17 to 20 years old, pls donate at least 2000 grains each day.
  • If you are 21 years old & above, pls donate 3000 grains each day. I know you all are busy working adults, but pls spend 15 minutes less time on facebook & start spending your precious 15 minutes time to help somebody. Somebody out there is waiting for our rice.

Most "IN" Jingle of 2010

I went to foodcourt to have lunch today. Happen to have 2 kids (2 girls of age 4-5 years old) sitting next to my table, think that they are quite adorable. While waiting for their mother to buy the fish beehoon soup, the 2 kids were singing "Nobody Nobody But You, Nobody Nobody But You,..." repeatedly non-stop.

The funny thing is when i was going home while waiting for the feeder bus at the bus terminal, another 2 kids queuing behind me (also both girls) but age about 7-8 years old, start to sing "Nobody Nobody But You, Nobody Nobody But You,..."

So coincidental. Can't believe it. Is like a virus spreading among kids. Heh!
